TheSTP24DP05isamonolithic,lowvoltage,lowcurrentpower24-bitshiftregisterdesignedforLEDpanELdisplays.Thedevicecontainsa8x3-bitserial-in,parallel-outshiftregisterthatfeedsa8x3-bitD-typestorageregister.Intheoutputstage,twenty-fourregulatedcurrentsourcesweredesignedtoprovide5-80mAconstantcurrenttodrivetheLEDs.
The8x3shiftregistersdataflowsequenceordercanbemanagedwithtwodedicatedpins.TheSTP24DP05hasadedicatedpintoactivatetheoutputswithasequentia一体电感ldelay,thatwillpreventinrushcurrentduringoutputsturn-ON.
Thedevicedetectioncircuitchecks3differentconditionsthatcanoccurontheoutputline:shorttoGND,shorttoVOoropenline.
Thedatadetectionresultsareloadedintheshiftregistersandshiftedoutviatheseriallineoutput.Thedetectionfunctionalityisactivatedwithadedicatedpinorasalternative,throughalogicsequencethatallowstheusertoenterorexitfromdetectionmode.
Throughthreeexternalresistors,userscanadjusttheoutputcurrentforeach8-channelgroup,controllinginthiswaythelightintensityofLEDs.
TheSTP24DP05guaranteesa20Voutputdrivingcapability,allowinguserstoconnectmoreLEDsinseries.
Thehighclockfrequency,25MHz,makesthedevicesuitableforhighdataratetransmission.The3.3Vofvoltagesupplyisusefulforapplicationsthatinterfaceanymicrofrom3.3V.
